Busy, busy, busy...

I am just barely keeping my head above water these days, I feel exactly like the little smiley with the shark nippin' at his butt! I did manage to create some LO's this weekend. First up is one I did for the DSO Scraplift challenge, it's a lot of fun, there is a really innovative LO to lift every month. This LO was created with "Moody Days" from Kim Broedelet, with the exception of the large vine, which is from Nicole Perry. I took this photo of Matt the Brat and Wyatt Mothers Day weekend. I am really proud of capturing this small moment in time. It just makes my heart sing!

Next up is a photo of myself and Lilly the same weekend. I created it using the posting bonus for the May Color Challenge from Kimbob. I call it "Princess Nana". Let me just say this...Lilly is a bossy little hussy and I am a sucker. She says "sit right here, Nana, you be a princess", and I sit and undergo untold humiliation. Shawna dared me to scrap and post this, so I say WTH, dignity is overrated, here we go! On another note, it just occured to me, Obama should assign Lilly to the terrorists at Guantonamo Bay, she could whup 'em into shape REAL quick!

TGIF!!! Man, I need this long weekend in a bad way! The door is locked, there is a Miller Lite in the koozie and a smoke in the ashtray. AAAHHH!!! I feel better already! Now for a little catching up! Matt the Brat and My Girl Shawna are going away for Matt's birthday (yep, my baby turns 30 on Monday, sigh...), so I am pretty much on my own for this long weekend. I thought about hitting the casino, but it'll probably be VERY crowded, and I don't do crowds very well. Besides, I shouldn't be squandering Disney money. Have I mentioned that we are going to Disney World? With all of the drug violence in Mexico, we had already decided it wasn't the place to take the kiddos this summer. Then came the pork flu mess, so I'm glad we had already changed plans. We will be spending eight days at Disney World, so I know that poor ole Nana is going to need a vacation after the vacation! It should be a lot of fun, Wyatt's birthday is July 1st, and we have booked the birthday package and Character dinner at Chef Mickey for him. He and Lilly will also be hitting the Bibbodi-Bobbodi-Boutique that day. Lilly is scheduled for the full princess deal (how could you guess? LOL!) and Wyatt is getting the Prince treatment. Then...on the 2nd, Wyatt and I are going to Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins! This is what I'm giving him for his birthday, and he is SOOO excited!

If any of ya'll have any Disney tips, fill me in!

Now, on to today's LO. I created this using Kim Broedelet's fabulous kit Antoinette. While we were at the lake for Mothers Day Bev taught Lilly the 'oh so sweet' pageant move. Not that she is in any pageants (she's too ornery), but it does make for a cute photo!

May CC Quick Page

I whupped up this LO from my May Color Challenge kit and made it into a QP for ya'll! I really liked the looks of this harlequin paper when I made it, but I was afraid it would be too busy when used on a page. I was pleasantly surprised at the resulting LO, I think it actually works pretty well! If you look really close, you can see that Bug's tongue almost touches her eyes! Too funny! Password is: lick

Ahem...Another Kimbob LO!

Yes, dear blog readers, it's true...I have another LO published on Kim Broedelet's blog! Who knows, if Mr. MoJo sticks around I might one day snag the coveted 'guest CT spot'! Yeah, right...in my dreams! In any case, I have been able to create some pretty darned good LO's with one of her latest kits "Moody Days". Go on, get it for yourself and see what fabulous LO's you can come up with! You know you want to! I shot this photo of my Daddy while we were at the lake Mothers Day weekend. Believe it or not, he was saying "Why do you always have that camera going? Stop that!" I don't care, it's still a great pic!

New Toy Box Kit!

Today's LO features my SIL Bev's grandson Ryan. Yes, there will be a QP, check back tomorrow for it. For some reason ever since I plugged in my new Wacom tablet Photoshop is giving me fits. The magic wand and all of the pen and brush tools are acting all wonky. Maybe I should read the manual, no wait...there wasn't one! All it came with was a page that showed how to plug it in. That I could have figured out on my own. By 10:00 last night I was just about ready to chunk the whole mess out into the road and run over it with the truck.

I had a wonderful weekend, I hope ya'll did too. Momma is looking and feeling terrific! On Saturday we limited out on white bass, catching a total of 75. I had a blast, but got a little too much sun, despite having SPF 50 sunscreen on. Matt, Shawna, Wyatt and Lilly came down on Sunday and spent the day. I shot a ton of photos, now I need to work on some pages!

Puppy Love and Darling Buds of May

I'm not getting up on the 'ole soapbox, I just felt like I needed to get it off my chest. You know how you look forward to checking on the blog and seeing that there is a gift for the day? Another Kimbob LO!

WooHoo!!! Kim posted another of my LO's on her blog! I know I've really created a good one when that happens! I kept that credit card hot on Saturday and got some great stuff. One of the kits I picked up was "Antoinette", the latest in the 'Friends' series from Kim Broedelet. You can get it for yourself @ 25% off right here. As soon as I saw it I started planning this LO in my head. This photo of Lilly was an experiment that turned out pretty darned good!
