First off, I want to share a LO of Lilly made with a photo that was taken at my Dad's 70th birthday party. I used papers from "Whisper of Love" by Anita (Nana's Attic). The template is "Breakthrough" by Helena Jole, and the journal paper is also from Helena Jole. Mass quantities of cake had been consumed at this point. Lilly has such an innocent, "Who? Me?" expression on her face. (Along with a lot of cake crumbs!). It never seizes to amaze me how the most ordinary moments can turn out to be so beautiful! I just love the wide eyed look that I managed to capture here!

Now, on to other matters. Get ready, here comes a rant! In the very near future I am going to stop posting freebies here on the blog. I cannot make myself tolerate the rudeness that this entails. Believe me, I have tried, but it is just not in my nature. I was puzzled the other day regarding the hits on the blog to the number of downloads. Hits to downloads was almost double. I couldn't figure this out. Then I had one of those "Aha" moments. These are people who are not even reading the post, they are just coming to grab the freebie and run for parts unknown. Then they are having to come back a second time to get the password. To those grab & run people (who are probably not reading this anyway) I told you that the freebies would one day dry up. You may read previous posts regarding manners to refresh your memory. I would love to continue to share with those dear readers who actually READ my posts and take the short period of time to comment. Rest assured, I know who ya'll are. I think I will take a lesson from Bunny and start a "Fun Club". Until I get the details worked out, I will continue to share with the ungrateful masses. Okey dokey, rant over...

This QP is from a LO I created of Lilly stealing her Dad's hat. This is another kit from Nana's Attic. (Simple Beauty) If you are not a member, you should be! She has amazing kits that are a bargain! http://nanas-attic.blogspot.com/ Password is: thief I thought I would share a couple of tips regarding techniques that I use. Take a doodle or any element and apply an embossing style. (I like simple emboss). This will give you a lot of dimension. Do not be afraid to stack stuff! When I started scrapping fifteen years ago, I thought everything had to be placed just so, evenly spaced. Nay...nay...nay my friend! Life is a journey, junk it up! Here I have doubled up the frames and layered lots of elements. Do not be afraid, that is the wonder of Photoshop, the UNDO button!

Here is the stuff that for one reason or another did not make it into the previous downloads. I am officially finished with this kit. I hope ya'll have enjoyed it. Password is: the end
Now ya'll go have fun, and scrap something! I really would like to see what you do with this kit. Feel free to email me a link! As for me, I do believe I hear a slot machine in Bossier City calling my name! In other words...I will be incognito for the weekend!

Changing direction...

Well, well, well...the response to "All Worn Out" has been pretty amazing! Many, many thanks to those that took the time to let me know what you thought. As I've said before, that is how I know what you like and can use in your scrapbooks. And you know what they say about us Southern girls, we aim to please! LOL! And on another note, the Cherry Lime Parfait QP has 284 downloads as of right now, making it the most popular item I have posted! Of course, it has had an extra day on AWO, I expect it to surpass these numbers by tomorrow. I don't have the AWO add-on packed up yet, so your freebie will be another QP from one of Nana's Attic's kits. This one is called "Denim & Daisies". I debated on whether to post this LO, I designed this page to go with this photo of Lilly. Well, the page itself looks great, but due to my penchant for taking closeups, Lilly ended up looking like a conehead! I am sure it will be great for a photo that is not quite such a closeup. In the meantime, we'll just call Lilly "Cone Girl"!!!! Password is: cone

Part Two

Here is part two. Believe it or not, I came up with some more stuff after I had packed these up, so we will have an add-on! Sorry about the homey previews, I am learning as I go. I'm gonna stay with matt the brat for the password. Remember, use the spaces and all lower case! Now go have fun and scrap something!

And what do we say?

Presenting...All Worn Out

Okay, here we go! This is the page that grew and grew until it was a full blown kit! Today we have the two paper sets and for Meg, (since she can't wait), the Stacked and Tied Photo collages! ROTFLPIMP!!! The first paper pack is big, around 88 k, I suppose all that texture weighed it down! If anyone has a problem, let me know. In honor of the inspiration for all this, the password will be: matt the brat Feedback will most certainly be appreciated, as this will help me decide what to offer in the future. Now, have fun, and go scrap something! P.S. Be sure to use the spaces in the password, and it is all lowercase.

Okay, these are the photos that started it all! This is my son Matt right before he went on his first SWAT assignment. I made two versions of the QP. The only thing that is not mine is the awesome real looking paper journaling spot. It is from Helena Jole. These are incredible! See them here: http://www.ndisb.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_id=22
Everthing else is in the kit. It's FINALLY uploaded to 4shared. Evidently DSL doesn't matter when you are uploading! Password is: SWAT I will start posting "All Worn Out" tomorrow.

I made this page of Wyatt using the Egg Hunt kit from Nana's Attic. Bless his heart, his basket was so full eggs were falling out, so he summoned Nana to the rescue with a trusty Walmart bag. I emptied his basket into the bag, and off he went for another load. What else could the password be but... walmart LOL!!!

I just have to share this page I made of Lilly. She actually had a sausage in each hand. This girl can EAT! One of my favorite parts of this page is the folded blue check paper in the bottom right corner. It kinda' looks like a napkin to me, and believe me, some napkins were definitely needed when this photo was taken! I used "La Bodega" from Sweetmade. This kit is awesome, lots of torn grungy stuff to stack up! http://ashaleeandsweet.com/store/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&zenid=ac2b85dd61005a906227966866c635a1&keyword=la+Bodega I don't have permission to offer it as a QP, but if enough people are interested, I can try.

Mr. Mojo came knocking on my door this weekend! I got a whole bunch of pages done, and made quite a few into QP's, so you will get something everday this week. I started out just intending to get some Easter pages done, then decided to make a few papers for a page for my son Matt. Then, as the old Meatloaf song says, "The feeling came upon me like a tidal wave"! (Yeah, I'm really showing my age here) LOL!!! This is what I ended up with, All Worn Out:

I just need to do a little fine tuning and then get it uploaded to 4 shared. I'm really looking forward to finding out what you all think! The previews really don't do it justice. The papers have great texture, and I just love the stacked & tied sets! Now on to today's freebie. This was made with the Cherry Lime Parfait kit from Nana's Attic. Anita has such terrific kits! TGIF!!!

Boy, am I glad this week is almost over. I have been so busy, as Kim B would say, "I haven't had time to fart!" LOL!!! My whole world is coated in yellow pollen and I feel lousy. But enough of my griping. I did finally manage to get this one packed up for you. There are two versions, one for Easter and one generic. I really am pleased with how the velvet ribbon frame turned out! The photo is of Lilly Easter afternoon about 3:00 PM. She was wound up tight! She never did take a nap, and by around 7:00 she was getting really loopy! Password is: nomorecandy Just a little tidbit for you, I used the cactus layer style on the text. I think it gives it a sugar coated look. Let me know what YOU think! Oh, the Easter charm was a freebie from PinkuPixie!
