For those that don't know, Kristine aka Wench is a fellow member of Kim Broedelet's CT. She keeps us in stitches with her warped sense of humor and party tales. Her 44th birthday is today, and Kim came up with the idea to create a special kit to celebrate. We voted on the swatch and the theme was an 80's style, which ended up having a lot of cocktails and high heels thrown in. We had a secret area in the forum that Kristine couldn't see to do our planning, so this is really a surprise for her! I've got to show ya'll what the amazing Kim B has in store for this month. Of course, if you live on this planet you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. So...Bosom Buddies is the theme for this month's DSO Pick Ur Bits! You can mix and match bits from all of the designers and make your own custom kit. How cool is that? And at $1.50 to $3.00 per bit it's a bargain to boot! Here's a LO of Princess Natalie celebrating her first birthday, so you can see it's also versatile. There is lot's of string, ribbon and swirly vines, and we all know that really blows my skirt up, lol.

I actually knocked out the DSO Color Challenge early for a change! Jodiann has some super cool new Texture Washed styles coming out 10/05/10. I will add the link as soon as I get it so you can snag them for yourself. In the meantime you can check out the alpha and the blue frame to get a peek at what you can do with them. Treading Water...

and just barely keeping my head above the waves, lol. Ya'll know how it goes when you come back from vacation, right? You have to try and catch up with a weeks worth of of work while still trying to keep up with the mountains of paper that arrive on your desk every single day without fail. Now, let's make it worse. Two days after I got back from South Padre, Mel the girl wonder secretary left on her vacation. As soon as she got back the Boss Man left to go out of the country, which leaves yours truly in charge of the whole store. He usually takes care of paying half the bills, in addition to keeping up with the tire orders and inventory so now all of that is on my plate too. Now throw in dealing with the bozos from our other store and resisting the urge to fire everyone and start from scratch, the fact that PSCS5 and Vista don't seem to play together very well (my computer is constantly crashing and I haven't had the time to fix it) and you'll get an idea of where I'm at. Can we say stressed to the max? Uhmm hmm...I thought so.

Anyway, I donned my big girl panties this morning and put together a mini for KimBob's Color Challenge. I hope ya'll enjoy today's little gifty. FYI... I used Jodiann's "Get Bent" style for the frame. They are just too cool!

April DSO Color Challenge

I finally managed to get my mini kit done for Kim's color challenge at DSO. I love the rich colors in this swatch, when I get a little more time I would love to play with it some more! Round and Round We Go, A Wiener and a Gifty

KimBob has a new masterpiece available, and what an amazing fun kit it is! It's built around a carousel theme, but like all of her kits it is very versatile and you can create many different LO's with it. Get Merry A Round for yourself and have a blast! As I was slaving away on the second LO and ended up with something like 50 layers of popcorn it occured to me that it would be cool to have some popcorn scatter...so I made it for ya'll!

March DSO Color Challenge

WooHoo!!! How's this for early? Kim gave us a nice springy swatch for this month, so expect lots of Easter in this month's DSO Color Challenge. I tried really hard not to, but I couldn't help chunking an Easter egg in mine. I used stuffies from Kim's new Spring CU collab Bag with Bunny, and the fabulous styles that I used on the butterfly and the Easter egg are from fellow Texan Jodiann Cates. This gal is a whiz at creating amazing styles!

Rustic Warmth

I have to give ya'll a look at Kim's newest creation! Rustic Warmth lives up to it's name with rich, warm colors throughout the kit. Plenty of strings and ribbons, along with some unique elements are also inside. But the thing that really takes this one over the top is the alpha. It is AMAZING! Kim says it took forever, and I can believe it, the attention to detail is fantastic! Check out my two LO's, I love it when you can get such different looks from the same kit.
